Here are all of the Songs of the Week that were presented on my homepage in the past. I listen to quite a few different generes, but tend to stick to one for a week or two at a time; it may be intersting to see how my taste changes throughout the months/years.

"Madness" by Deltron 3030 ~ I was watching a video on YouTube that had recommended this Album (also titled Deltron 3030) and had to give it a listen and was glad I did! The album is a no-skip for me, and an enjoyment to playthrough from start to end. You may also recognize the voice and flow of Del the Funky Homosapien as the same person who is featured on a few Gorillaz songs, like "Clint Eastwood". It was difficult deciding which song to pick from this album, but went with Madness for its notable sample of the classic song, "Of Cities and Escapes" by The Poppy Family.
"Peach Pit" by Peach Pit ~ I love this band! I really enjoyed the first couple of albums, but need to listen to their latest stuff more. This self-titled song is a more relaxing song, so hope it helps you wind down as the week starts to come to an end. You should also check out their website, as it also dons a retro aesthetic.
"Jimmy Neutron Theme" by Bowling for Soup ~ Although not actually written by Bowling for Soup (credit goes to Brian Causey), it is my preferred version of this song and the one used for the film. I just started watching Jimmy Neutron this week, so had to go with this song. I also love Bowling for Soup as a band, original songs and covers included. Here's an older video on YouTube with their version of the song and a montage of photos from the series.
"Absolutely (Story of a Girl)" by Nine Days ~ One of the catchiest songs I've picked for a weekly song so far. Nine Days has been around since '94 but this song came out in 2000. Totally another song from my childhood, but I picked this one out as it was the Credit Song on the last episode of Daria which I had just finished earlier this week. An interesting thing about this YouTube video is that the channel still has the 'VEVO' branding present!
"Simple And Clean" by Hikaru Utada ~ Such a banger of a song from an awesome game! I get a little teary-eyed whenever I heard this song. Decided to go with this one for this week due to the announcement that Missing Link has been canceled. Although that may be a bit unfortunate, we still got some new screenshots of KHIV and it's looking great! I'm excited for the new game and the music we'll hear throughout it!
"Knights Of Cydonia" by Muse ~ An English bad from 1994, these guys have been around for quite a while with all their original members! I remember a close friend recommending this song to me for a class project where I had to make a mixtape based on a book. I love the progressive & hard-rock elements in this song, and the video 18 years old on YouTube! Behold it in its 360p Glory.
"Bound For The Floor" by Local H ~ This band started in 1990 in Illinois, and you can certainly hear that era's sound come through in this song. This song being so repetitive fits in with its lyrics and the theme of getting stuck in rut. Another good song to listen to on your way to work. Keep it copacetic, or don't.
"Turn the Page" by Bob Seger ~ Another song recommended by my Mom - She likes how mellow of a song it is. It has an iconic saxophone intro. You have to add this one to your roadtrip mixtape next time you take a vacation!
"Fire Water Burn" by Bloodhound Gang ~ I started watching Daria recently and this song played towards the end of one of the first episodes. It was very faint but I could still recognize it, and it's been stuck in my head since. I was actually listening to this while at work a couple of months ago. A great song that is fitting for today's world, or at least mine.
"Kernkraft 400" by Zombie Nation ~ The quintessential sports game song! If you've ever been to a live sporting event, you have likely heard this song player or the crowd chanting it. Guranteed to get you going! Funfact I recently learned recently, it was sampled from a song in David Whittaker's 1984 Commodore 64 game Lazy Jones.
"No Rain" by Blind Melon ~ Yet another classic that I remember from when I was a little kid. This song is always a joy to listen to. It was actually my Mom that recommended the song for this week, so kudos to her. The girl in the music video always reminds me of Little Miss Sunshine for some reason.
"You Get What You Give" by New Radicals ~ Just a great vibe of a song! Listening to this one always gets me up dancing and singing. I likely had first heard this one when I was really little. Not sure how many, but feel like this song was in a lot of shows/movies. Don't forget, "You've got the music in you"!
"Derezzed" by Daft Punk ~ A song from the TRON: Legacy Soundtrack. I love Daft Punk and loved this movie as well. It's been a while since I've watched the original but want to give both movies a rewatch before the new movie (TRON: Ares) comes out. I think Kingdom Hearts II was what introduced me to TRON.
"Cumbias Chichadélicas : Peruvian Psychedelic Chicha" by Various Artists (Label: Pharaway Sounds) ~ Got more than one song aga
"Accidentally In Love" by Counting Crows ~ A song you will likely remember if you've ever seen Shrek 2! Counting Crows is an American rock band that started in the early 1990s in San Francisco. I enjoy a lot of their songs, and this is a gerat song for a geat movie; if you have never watched the music video I recommend checking it out, it's pretty strange/unexpected for someone who associates the song with Shrek.
"Studio Ghibli Bossa Nova" by Cafe Music BGMC ~ Not a single song this week, but a collection. This is a great cover of Studio Ghibli (some of my favourite movies) songs in a Bossa Nova style. I have been listening to this since late highschool, it is gerat to work and study along to. I also recommend to check out their other covers!
"Hook" by Blues Traveler ~ A Song that I remember hearing as a child, likely on the radio or perhaps through some show or movie. Blues Traveler is a group from New Jersey that started in 1987 with a blues and folk sound. I'm quite fond of this song - Great vocals and wonderful harmonica break. While writing this, I learnt that it uses a variation of the Pachelbel's Canon chord progression.
Here is a Live version from Howard Stern's 1996 Birthday Show!
"좋지 아니한가 Isn't That Good?" by Crying Nut ~ I can't recall exactly how I came across this one, I beleive I may have found it or the artist listed on another Neocities site. A South Korean punk group from the 90s, although this song is from 2007. Hearing how the music changes as they sing the Lyrics really gives a wistful feeling from the artist.
"Super Flower Blood Moon" by Songs I Wrote ~ I came across this artist on Social Media and really vibed with this song and its lyrics. I enjoyed it so much that I went ahead and bought one of their CDs from their store.
