Song of the Week - Updated Every Wednesday! [Archive]

"Stop The World" by Riddlin' Kids ~ One of my favourite songs from MX vs ATV Unleashed on the PS2, I would play this games for hours almost every day. I loved racing to the music, or diving in the open world - where you could go to the edge to launch yourself into the sky. This game has one of my favourite soundtracks; along with the Tony Hawk games, it probably has some of the best licensed music in a video game (is it fair to consider Guitar Hero and Rock Band?). I was also feeling like I could relate to the lyrics especially well the past week or so.

"2 Rubiks Cubes 2 Cig 2 Beer SPEEDRUN (FORMER WR) (1:28.37)" from Robby Bolt ~ This video shows what is quite possibly peak human athletic capability. It is not everyday when the YouTube algorithm blesses you with a gem like this; and so recently uploaded as well! I don't do tobacco myself, and more importantly have never been able to solve a Rucks Cube, so I don't think I'd be a good contender for this challenge.

Akiyoshi's illusion pages ~ You may have seen some of the optical illusions before - tons of different images available on this site created by Japanese professor Akiyoshi Kitaoka. His artwork is very recognizable and has even made its way into pop-culture. It's amazing to see how a person is able to create art that can move and stretch so much - I think it takes a very unique mind to pull this off.
