- Prep Time: 5 Minutes
- Total time: 15 Minutes
- Serving: ~ 8 Slices
- 1 Large Pan
- 1 Flat Glass Dish (Pie Dish)
Ingredients
- 8 Slices of Bread. Stale bread works great.
- 2 Large Eggs
- Milk
- Vanilla Extract
- Granulated White Sugar
- Cinnamon Powder
- Butter
- Oil
- [Topping] Maple Syrup, Fruit, Powder Sugar
Instructions
- Crack the 2 Eggs into the Glass Dish
- Beat the Eggs until Scrambled
- Add the following into the Glass Dish
- A Splash of Milk
- A Drop of Vanilla
- A Dash of Cinnamon
- A Sprinkle of Sugar
- Mix the additional ingredients together
French Toast Batter Mixed Together
- Heat the Butter & Oil in your pan over medium-high heat, until the butter has melted
- Soak both sides of each piece of bread individually, placing into the pan once evenly battered
- The bread should not have dry spots and it should not it be soggy.
- Simply placing the slice of bread face down in the mixture, flipping it after a second, then picking it up to drip any excess works fine
- Repeat this process for as many slices as your pan can hold
French Toast Placed in the Pan
- Using a spatula, check the bottom of the toast in the pan to see how dark it has become.
- Optional: At this time, you may dust the uncooked side of the toast with extra cinnamon or granulated sugar
- Once the french toast has reached your designed done-ness, flip all pieces in the pan
- I like mine to be just a bit darker than golden brown.
Toast Cooking in the Pan
- Cook the flipped side for the same amount of time
- Place the cooked toast on a plate
- Repeat for the remainder of your bread
A Plate for the Family
- Dust with powder sugar, Add Fresh Berries, or dip in some Maple Syrup
