Favourite Episode: "Far from Home" / "Foutley's on Ice"

  The last Klasky Csupo Cartoon from the 90s and 2000s that I've watched and reviewed. This was actually the first time I watched As Told By Ginger, although I remember my sister watching it when we were younger. I guess I was not this show's target demographic when I was a little boy, and possibly even less so watching this this in my twenties, but I absolutely loved the show! I'm a big fan of the studio's art style, but the continuity between episodes was something that surprised me a bit, and kept me very interested in the developing relationships between Ginger and her friends.
  I love the character design from Klasky Csupo cartoons, like the babies in Rugrats or the family from The Wild Thornberrys. While familiarity is likely a reason why I enjoyed the characters in As Told By Ginger, I believe the style works very well for human characters without having them come off as too-cartoony, allowing you to focus on the story and writing. Additionally, they are able to create a diverse cast of characters, without relying on over-the-top features like blue hair or over-exaggerated features.
  My favourite episode for this show was the special from the last season when Ginger gets accepts to a private arts school. It felt like this episode was a slight turning point in the show where more and more tension between Ginger and her acquaintances (as well as her brother's, Carl). That is not to say that there are not moments and episodes like this in the earlier seasons, so I would highly recommend this show as it is a great watch from the start.
