Favourite Episode: "Doo Wop Diggety"

  CatDog is a show with some great humor, with an awesome voice-acting cast, but it seemed that there was a sort of formula when creating episodes for this show that make many of them feel almost identical. When watching this shown on TV as a kid, this was not something as easy to pick up on. So often is an episode's gag/punchline is Dog dragging Cat behind him through the city, smacking his head and scraping Cat's body as Dog dodges obstacles. While this can be hilarious depending on the episode's setup to the scenario, binge-watching this show a bit like I did made it feel a bit too repetitive. However, I still don't think this detracts from the overall show quality, especially as there are many episodes that are unique and standout on their own.   With the ever-entertaining voices of Jim Cummings, Tom Kenny, Carlos Alazraqui, and Billy West - there is a ton of talent put into this show. All of the characters in this show have strong personalities like their neighbour Winslow or Shriek from the Greasers that lend themselves to great interactions with each other. These relationships also are not endless quarrels, and some characters do eventually work in agreement with one another even if it is against a common enemy.   Even with the repeated torture-porn format found in many episodes, there are plenty of times when it can still be entertaining. The episodes I enjoyed the most usually involved Cat being a terrible person to everyone in Nearburg. My favourite episode was "Doo Wop Diggety", where Winslow takes advantage of CatDog's and the Greasers's singing abilities - I'm always a sucker for musical episodes in shows.
