Favourite Episode: "Canned"

I remember watching Rocko's Modern Life as a kid in the 2000s when it would come on late at night. I quite enjoyed it then, but still consider this as a first watchthrough, even though I can recall watching this much more than shows like Ren & Stimpy or The Angry Beavers
. I even remember catching the famous scene where Rocko works at the Phone Sex Hotline and Mrs. Bighead being on the other end. There was even the "Chokey Chicken" restaraunt that they frequented. This show was another show that was more mature than you may imagine for a kids/family channel. This to me helps shows hold up much better if you had watched them as kids, as you get to experience and catch on to so many jokes that you would have missed when you were younger.   Being a massive fan of SpongeBob SquarePants, and other Nickelodeon shows, hearing and seeing so many names that worked on this show leads me to appreciate it even more. Of course there is Stephen Hillenburg as a creative director, but recognizing the voices of such as Carlos Alazraqui(Rocko) from The Fairly OddParents, Tom Kenny (Heffer) & Mr. Lawrence (Filburt) from SpongeBob, really add the hilarity of the show, at least for me. On top of that all, it's just neat to see where so many of these icons in modern American Animation got their start or break.
I enjoyed pretty much every episode of this show, and felt like I went through it much faster than some of the previous shows I have watched. Picking a favourite episode would be difficult, and I'd gladly watch through them all again to really decide on which one I liked the most, but will have to recommend "Canned". "Canned" is the second segment of the first (non-pilot) episodes and will paint a great picture of the show's comedy style. This is also the episode that I mentioned in the first episode - where Rocko works at the phone line.
